No, they lose money because they're fun, not economical. I hope you know that much, that it is because they're big and slightly thirsty. Up until now, GM has allways been the best selling car in the US. And you still see loads and loads of old US cars on the roads. And besides, the only thing that connects your scrappy banger and the new, wonderful, RELIABLE GTO, is probably the engine volume. And even that may be different. The reason they don't sell is the market. And I'm out of characters...

lets face it... ur friend told u that but how much long did ur friend maintain it? if u take 6 mths to open ur hood and maintain ur engine obviously u spend a few hundred Ks on repair..it isnt plague with problems.if u want compare review RX-8 was voted top ten best car of the year.fuel economical?? since when is a sports car economical?? a corolla might be ur choice :)

im not looking for a prius, but if im going to waste 16mpg id like alot more then 232hp. In a M3 you'll get the same miles per gallon and get about 100+more hp
jacobasael (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
it is!!! 232 HP.... :) for standar!! 212hp for automatic!!! not 228 HP :)

1.3L 228hp.. put in a nice turbo and it reach 500hp :)if u want economic and less problematic car why don u drive a toyota which is known for its reliability.. mazda is known for its rotary and rotary is easy on ur wallet cause cheaper road tax :)

I've got 24,500 miles on my 07 rx8 GT with zero issues. Not one functional or mechanical issue to date. As far as fuel mileage goes I average 19-20 mpg in mixed driving, however 23 is easy to achieve on the highway. Worst ever mileage was 15.6 with lots of low gear cruising, redlining, and high speed runs.

i absolutely love this car...except i herd its plagued with problems, my friend had his engine pulled at 12k and numerous other issues, i've read reviews and said its very unreliable not to mention that 15mpg (from what owners have recorded) isnt the most fuel efficient....only if it was better made this car would be in my driveway!
