No,The original is about Heroin... but this band Sixpence usually sings from the perspective of a guy because the guitarist writes and picks the songs. Kind of weird, but just thw way it is.The singer was married to the guitarist of PFR for a while.A good tip off also should be that the subject of the music video is a guy watching a lady.---Btw, both versions of this song just kick butt, check out the LAs version to!
