i find i care alot less about the people who die from tsunami because i see people kind of walking to higher ground not seeing the reason to rush..

@yobro250 Read the "The Pursuit of Reason: the life of Thomas Jefferson". His own notes put the lie to your claims... which sound like the echoes of Public mis-Education. (I do not mean that rudely, the schools are HORRIBLE on these matters.) Read sound works on John Adams, Hamilton & Washington too.Finally, teachers largely judge events of 250 yrs ago using modern standards, idly presuming people were as informed & well behaved then as today. That is brutally stupid thinking & teaching.

@yobro250 In any culture one will find a range of actors on any given principle. The Founders were among the first to give single women voting rights, way ahead of England France Spain etc. The key Founders opposed slavery from day 1 but could not stand alone without the South. Jefferson's slaves chose to stay with him, as slaves, to be better off. The Indians were NOT civilized, that notion is Leftist, anti-American revisionism. I do not think you know your own nation's history very well. |
